A glove box

A glove box is a device designed to maintain sterile proceedure by taking advantage of still air. Glove boxes are commonly constructed fro modified plastic totes with glove holes or permanently affixed gloves. Inside the box, the lack of airflow minimizes the flow of contaminants into the air and onto working surfaces.

Glove boxes are commonly used by amateur cultivators in lieu of a flow hood due to the significantly lower cost of construction.
